DNB seminar Challenges for Macroeconomic Modelling (29 november 2019)

As partners of the TinbergenToday initiative, celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of Tinbergen’s Nobel Prize, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) organizes and hosts the seminar “Challenges for Macroeconomic Modelling” on 29 November 2019 in Amsterdam. The purpose of the seminar is to highlight new developments and challenges to macroeconomic modelbuilding, viewed from an academic perspective and the scientific frontier of new research in the field, as well as from the viewpoint and requirements of practitioners and policy makers.

Speakers are Albert van der Horst (CPB Netherlands Bureau of Economic Policy Analysis), Frank Smets (European Central Bank), Vincent Sterk (University College London) and George Kapetanios (King’s College London). As the programme shows, the speakers touch upon a broad variety of interesting aspects in macro modelling. The seminar is held at the premises of DNB in Amsterdam, from 13.15 – 17.00 hours.
